Mission Statement
Our mission is clear: to stop the Edgemoor Port Expansion and replace it with a people-first vision that benefits all Delawareans—not just a few insiders.
We, the residents and advocates of Northern Delaware, stand united in firm opposition to the Edgemoor Port Expansion. This project, represents a blatant disregard for public transparency, environmental safety, and fiscal responsibility. Located on a contaminated industrial site, the proposed container port could bring thousands of tractor-trailers daily into residential neighborhoods, overwhelming our infrastructure, endangering public health, and threatening the Delaware River ecosystem through toxic dredging. The decision-making process has excluded the very communities most affected, and critical permits have been issued behind closed doors with no accountability. This is not responsible development—this is government by and for special interests.
We believe Delaware deserves better. Instead of wasting $195 million in questionable abandoned property funds on a project with no community investment, false job promises, and severe environmental consequences, we demand a future built on transparency, sustainability, and common sense. We support revitalizing the existing Wilmington Port, exploring alternative uses for the Edgemoor site such as public parks, ecological restoration, or mixed-use community development. Our mission is clear: to stop the Edgemoor Port Expansion and replace it with a people-first vision that benefits all Delawareans—not just a few insiders.
